Can banks track who used your card?
Banks cannot directly track who physically used your card but they can trace the transactions made with your card. Here’s how it works:
- Transaction Details: Each transaction made with your credit card includes details like the date, time, amount, and merchant name.
- Security Features: Banks use various security measures like OTP (One Time Password), PIN, and CVV to ensure that only the cardholder can authorize transactions.
- Fraud Detection: If your card is used in a way that deviates from your normal spending pattern, the bank may flag the transaction and contact you to verify it.
